Incorporated in November of 1978, EMC began as a partnership of three professional engineers providing environmental, marine and civil engineering to the local municipalities, industries and private developers in Savannah, Georgia. After five years, the firm tripled in size and moved from its original offices on Liberty Street to the heart of Historic Savannah downtown business district. After ten years in business, EMC had grown to become one of the top three firms in the Savannah area with expanded services including surveying, transportation engineering and landscape architecture.
In 1998, after twenty years in business, EMC grew into a multi-disciplined, regional, firm with the opening of the first branch office in Statesboro, Georgia. Since then, the company has expanded its geographic reach, and added branch offices in Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, Brunswick, Columbus and Valdosta. Services were also expanded yet again to include geotechnical engineering and materials testing services. In 2016, EMC continued its rich history of regional growth by opening a satellite office in Thomaston, Georgia to better serve our client base in the central Georgia area. In the fall of 2018, EMC opened a new office in Warner Robins, Georgia.
EMC currently employs a staff of experienced engineers, surveyors, construction inspectors, scientists and technicians housed within 10 offices throughout the State of Georgia, and an office in Maryland. We offer clients experience, professionalism, resources, and the ability to complete projects in a timely and cost effective manner. EMC’s growth and sustainability over its nearly 40 year history is a testament to this management philosophy and our Mission Statement: Fostering relationships through client-centered engineering and surveying solutions.
