EMC Engineering Services, Inc. provided surveying, structural engineering, site engineering and construction administration for improvements and expansion of the existing boat hoist and docks. The scope of work included survey (topographic and hydrographic to prepare construction-working drawings), structural engineering (improve monorail support system), and civil site design (construction plan development including existing conditions, site plan, construction details, and specifications). Boat hoist improvements consisted of replacing the existing deteriorated piles, increasing overhead clearance from 13 to 18 feet, and extending the monorail an additional 20 feet toward the river. Dock improvements consisted of replacing existing damaged wooden dock pilings with a new floating dock that is approximately 100 feet longer.
