The project consisted of the extension of water and sewer mains from Old Jesup Road to Golden Isles Parkway in Brunswick to serve the large commercial developments just north of the Parkway on Canal Road. Included was approximately 3,600 LF of 16” C900 PVC water main and 4,100 LF of 20” C900 PVC sanitary forcemain in addition to approximately 400 LF of both 16” and 20” fusible PVC directional bore. Also included in the project were erosion control BMPs, the removal and replacement of storm drainage pipe, gas lines and asphalt pavement, and surface restoration.
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. worked with the Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission in the planning, design and construction phases of this project. Specific services provided by EMC included:
- Preparation of Topographic and Boundary Surveys along the project corridor
- Preparation of Wetland Delineation and securing USACOE Jurisdictional Determinations
- Engineering Design and Preparation of Construction Plans and Specifications
- Permitting of project through Ga. EPD and the USACE
- Assistance during the Bidding of the project
- Provided construction observation and inspection services
- Review and approval of payment draw requests
