Description:
Evans High, founded in 1926, offers a diverse curriculum to its 1,900 plus students, including: specialized vocational, athletic, special education, gifted, STEM, advanced placement and AP Capstone. Greenbrier, named after an important waterway in Columbia County, was founded in 1996 and offers its 1,600 plus students notable programs and events such as: 14 AP Courses, 7 Career Pathways, Columbia County Battle of the Books Host, Lifetime Impact Award, Parent Volunteer Breakfast, Special Olympics Host and a Veterans’ Day Reception. Evans High and Greenbrier both offer a wide selection of athletic programs. Extracurricular activities not only increase student participation and engagement, but also help teach students essential skills they will use throughout their lives. With increased enrollment, improvements were needed on the Softball Field of Evans High (Area of Project = 0.57 Acres | 2,172 SF Building Area), as well as Greenbrier’s Football Stadium (Area of Project = 0.18 Acres | 885 SF Building Area). EMC Engineering Services, Inc. was pleased to provide the following services for the Evans High and Greenbrier Athletic Facilities Improvement Project: coordinated with architect, performed topographic survey, prepared site plans, handled specifications and contract documents, assisted with bidding and negotiating phases, provided NPDES, construction administration and project closeout documentation.
