Beginning commercial operation in November 2016 and situated on approximately 240 acres of land, Live Oak Solar Farm generates 51 megawatts of photovoltaic solar energy via crystalline silicon solar panels which provide safe, clean, renewable energy. In addition to the power they provide to local homes in the community (around 8,500 homes for Live Oak), solar panel farms also provide revenue for public services, additional employment opportunities, additional tax base and no worries about air or water pollution. EMC was pleased to provide professional survey consulting services, which consisted of construction staking and as-built survey. EMC Survey used the plans from the designer to stake out all of the roads and solar panel areas to be used in construction, and then a topography map was created of the as-built conditions.
