EMC Engineering Services, Inc. provided design and construction overview and on-site inspection services for the Montgomery Cross Road Stormwater Pump Station to relieve flooding in the Casey South Drainage Basin in Savannah, GA that involves the 63rd Street Drainage Project. Construction phase services included conducting project meetings, resident project representation, shop drawing review, pay request review, problem resolution, asbuilt surveys and record drawings. Project included:
- 24 ft below-grade, cast-in-place concrete wetwell (2,780 CY) with piling (14,500 LF) and sheetpile for: five 89,722 gpm electric-motor driven submersible pumps and draft tubes, three 25-foot wide mechanical barscreens, six 8’x6’ electrical-motor driven sluice gates, two 1,500 kw diesel generators, and one 80 kw diesel generators with paralleling switch gear
- Site paving, drainage and utility improvements
- Fabriform and Rip-Rap lined exit channel
- Associated demolition
