Tidal Wave Auto Spa first began washing cars in 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia. Within months of opening, Tidal Wave was one of the busiest car washes in the entire Southeast. Since then, Tidal Wave has opened auto spas throughout the Southeastern United States including South Carolina, Florida and Georgia. EMC Engineering Services has had the opportunity to work on many of these car wash developments in Georgia and South Carolina.
The projects consist of a 3,300-square-foot car wash building, approximately 3,000 square feet of canopies, vacuum centers, and dumpster enclosures on approximately one-acre parcels. The civil/site work on these projects have included both asphalt and pervious pavements for the drive isles and parking stalls along with sidewalks, storm drainage systems, stormwater detention facilities, water and sewer utility service connections, landscaping, retaining walls, and fencing.
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. has worked with SHJ Construction in the planning, design and construction phases of these projects. Specific services provided by EMC included:
- Preparation of Topographic, Boundary and ALTA Surveys of the project sites
- Preparation of Environmental Site Assessments
- Preparation of construction plans that included Clearing and Demolition, Staking and Utilities, Paving, Grading and Drainage, Landscaping, Storm and Sanitary Profiles, Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, and Construction Details
- Provided permitting of project through municipal or county agencies, USWCS, and GA and SC DOTs
- Provided assistance during the Bidding of the project
- Provided construction administration and inspection services
- Provided professional stormwater management services
- Provided construction staking services
- Provided project closeout documentation
