Veterans Parkway Center is located just north of the I-185 and Veterans Parkway intersection in Columbus, Georgia next to the campus of Strayer University. It includes approximately 44,000 square feet of retail space, offices and a Shrimp Basket restaurant on approximately five acres. Included in the center is a Keller Williams Realty office and the corporate offices of Childcare Network, Inc. The site work for the project included a common entrance with deceleration lane, approximately 175 parking spaces and drive isles, sidewalks, retaining walls, an extensive stormwater management system, landscaping, and water and sewer utilities.
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. worked with Cottle Properties during the planning, design and construction phases of the project. Specific services provided by EMC included:
- Preparation of Topographic and Boundary Survey of the project site
- Preparation of construction plans that included Clearing and Demolition, Staking and Utilities, Paving, Grading and Drainage, Landscaping, Storm and Sanitary Profiles, Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, and Construction Details
- Permitting of project through municipal agencies, USWCS and GDOT
- Assistance during the Bidding of the project
- Construction administration and inspection services
- Professional stormwater management services
- Project closeout documentation
