The long–term success of any construction project is largely dependent upon the types of materials used during construction.
Design professionals go to great lengths to specify the properties of the construction materials. Construction specifications not only include the properties but often require testing procedures and frequency. Materials are typically specified to be tested either prior to their placement or in place. The purpose of Materials Testing Services at EMC is to provide the owner and contractors with the actual properties of these construction materials.
The services vary, from the development of materials testing plans prior to construction to development of test reports for
distribution to the client and/or owner. EMC has provided these services on transportation, drainage, land development, environmental, and marine projects. Clients have included state and federal agencies, counties, municipalities, industries, contractors, architects, and private developers. Pre–qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation since 2001, EMC has provided materials testing services on numerous roadway projects. Providing these services are experienced engineers, engineering technicians, and construction inspectors. They are certified by the American Concrete Institute and perform testing in accordance with the standards of the American Society of Testing Materials.
